After months (okay, years!) of planning, dreaming, and (let’s be honest) talking about it, I’m thrilled to share some incredible news: BrainSTRONG is FINALLY officially launching!
One highlight? I’ll be joined by Zenon Konopka,, a former NHL player who had to retire because of his invisible Acquired Brain Injury. Zenon’s story is a powerful reminder of why BrainSTRONG’s mission matters, and I’m so proud to have his support as we move forward.
This is more than just a milestone—it’s the start of something amazing. With BrainSTRONG, we’re raising awareness about the often invisible nature of Acquired Brain Injuries and empowering a community to make a real difference.
There are some truly exciting things on the horizon, and it’s going to be AWESOME! From inspiring initiatives to impactful events, we’re set to bring our vision to life.
This is your chance to join us on this journey. Whether you want to learn more, get involved, or just cheer us on, your support means everything.
Stay tuned for all the exciting announcements—we’re just getting started!
Together, we’re stronger.
Congratulations!
Thank you! It’s been a whole long time of nothing, and a few weeks ago I decided to change!
Congratulations, Robert! And best wishes for 2025!

Kevin, you’re actually in-a-way related to what initiated the motivation to do it. Everything you’ve done isn’t “just” awesome, it’s mind-bogglingly so. What I realized from what Kerry told me, that I’ve actually not done (despite saying things about it), what I must do — pivot after the crash. What I’d had before was awesome (working at Communications Security Establishment Canada or CSE), had done 7 triathlons, biked to Kingston (from Ottawa in the Rideau Lakes ride), and more The crash retired me from there, and rendered me disabled (in a wheelchair a lot of the time). I’ve decided that I’m going to fully-do what I’d talked about (for a while now, but not done) – and fair warning that I’m probably going to be reaching out to you in some way!! 😉
